Final
Exam
1. Every year, the final test will take place in December and June.
2. Upon fulfillment of the scientific requirements as determined by the
specialized scientific council, the trainee will not be permitted to take the
final exam. These requirements include:
a) The awarding of the CCT certificate of completion of training.
b) The conclusion of the training program and the scientific council's
suggestion.
c) Passing the whole annual performance review (first and final years have
particular instructions and include preliminary and final examinations).
d) Sending the scientific and practical performance record (LOG BOOK) to the
council for specialized science.
e) Getting a letter of approval for
publication, or publishing an article in a journal recognized by the Ministry
of Higher Education and Scientific Research, two months before the test.
F) The supervisor will advise the Scientific Council on whether or not the
trainee should take part in the final 3. examination in a report on the
trainee's scientific proficiency.
The final test is divided into two independent, stand-alone exams: a written,
theoretical exam and a practical, practical examination.
4. The trainee must obtain a passing grade in each of the following two
examinations separately:
A.
Writing Exam
It
has two pages (Exam Papers), with a mark of 100 for each page, and it will take
three hours.
Only when both pages have an average
score of at least 65% and each page has a score of at least 55% are trainees
deemed to have passed.
- The student must pass the written exam before they are eligible to take the
practical exam.
Counting the number of attempts:
1. The trainees may make three successive practical attempts, one every six
months, provided he passes his first try at writing.
2. After six months, if he fails the first writing Exam, he will attempt
writing again if they passed they will attempt two practical exam every six
months.
3.
if they not passed in the second written exam attempts, they can enter third
written exam after six months if they passed, they can enter one practical exam.
4. If trainees failed to pass Witten exam after third attempts the council will
decide what constitutes a "compassionate attempt," which is
the fourth writing attempt after the first three writing examination attempts
were unsuccessful.
B)
Practical Examination:
After passing the written exam, the student is eligible to move on to the
practical exam. Every six months, he will make three consecutive attempts.
There are two sections to the practical exam:
Part One:
A. (Comprises one long clinical case and three short clinical cases; marks are awarded 50% for long clinical cases and 50% for three short clinical cases)
B. Alternatively, you may take the 100-mark OSCE exam.
Part
Two:
Slide show and oral Exam; worth 100 points.
Each
trainee will be subjected to an oral examination by two different committees,
with the detailed expert council deciding on the format.
There should be a minimum of one external examiner among the three members that
comprise each of the clinical and oral examination committees.
The pass mark in each practical exam alone cannot be less than 65%, and the
minimal average pass value for both sections is 70%.
c) The following formula will be used to determine each course's trainees'
graduation ranking:
- The sum of the oral and slide exams + the (OSCE or clinical) score + the average
of Witten exam
- Prioritizing the graduates of the first trial over the graduates of the second and third trial (other courses will be ranked accordingly).
